What is hypnotherapy?

Simply put, hypnosis is a sleep like state, a state of highly focused attention or concentration, often associated with relaxation, and heightened suggestibility.

Your subconscious mind is at work and functioning continuously, it helps you think, walk, talk, breathe etc. the subconscious mind never stops functioning in the background.

During hypnosis the subconscious mind is in a heightened state of focus. Hypnosis therapy can access the subconscious mind to help to change old habits, smoking etc, allowing change to happen within the subconscious mind, and therefore helping to release old patterns of behaviour, also releasing past events bringing clarity and perspective to to the here and now.

A person cannot be hypnotized against his or her will. Nor can s/he be made to do things s/he doesn’t want to do.

Hypnosis is a genuine psychological phenomenon that has valid uses in clinical practice.
